We will not solve the problems of the world and get rid of wars through economic, military or political means. The reason for us doing these things and creating those problems stems from a deeper level of our being. Spiritpeace is an organization built on the simple understanding that outer and inner peace is connected and reflecting each other. Our work is built on the fundament that man first and foremost is a spiritual being. Today it is not just possible, but also necessary for humankind to take a great leap into a future based on conscious understanding of our own spiritual and divine nature.

We see that fundamentalist religion is part of that which has created and is creating war, suffering and violence in the world. Lasting peace is not created through solving outer problems. Lasting peace is created through removing the reason for the problem. This can happen through the recognition that we as a world and a humanity are one and will continue to create trouble for each other as long as we do not have peace within.

Spiritpeace is an organization that is independent of any religious affiliation. Our spirituality is based on the right of others to disagree and to form and hold totally different world view and opinions from those we have. Religion has often created a discord between the needs and ways of operating based on or residence in the physical world and the spiritual dimension of reality.

As a fundament for our activity lies the understanding that the one force that exists is part of and runs through all that is. Spiritpeace sees the inner and the outer world as equal expressions of this essence. The single individual is sacred as part of this essence. We believe that inner and outer peace is created through the conscious acknowledgment that our individuality and our unity is part of the same force. As an organization Spiritpeace do wish to be a part of creating a new order of peace in the world.

We believe that a deeper experience and understanding of our spiritual nature and essence is sorely needed if we shall be able to co-create a world that exists in economic, ecological and religious harmony.

Every year we will give a peace prize to a single person, group or organization that has distinguished itself through using spiritual awareness and consciousness for making the world a more harmonic and peaceful place.

The first winner of this award is Neale Donald Walsch, author of all the books in the “Conversations with God”- series, and a renowned speaker all over the world. The prize will be given to him in Bergen, Norway, on September 18th 2009.
